How Bald is India?
A whopping 58%! That is how much.
“Oh my God I am going bald! Am I attractive anymore? What will people think when they look at me?” If you are a balding man in India, you’ve most likely had this thought.
Of course you only care about how much hair you are losing but have you ever looked around and thought there are more bald men here than men with a full head of hair and I needn’t truly worry much about my hair loss? Although baldness is super prevalent in India, it is fair to feel a little insecure and lonely when you are balding. But we know there is strength in numbers. There are studies on it, and we pored through so you don’t have to.
We'll scientifically look at the prevalence of baldness (or androgenic alopecia or AGA), the various stages men go through and give you the confidence of strength in numbers.
A study in the international journal of trichology looked at 1000+ Indian men in the age group of 30-50 and checked if they have some stage of baldness and found that 58% Indian men have some stage of AGA! And it becomes worse with age.
Ages 30 to 35 had 47.5% prevalence of baldness; ages 35 to 40 had 58.7% and ages 40 to 45 had 73.2%! Baldness.
Yup you read that right. It is more common to be bald than not be bald in India.
