How to Shave Your Head: The Ultimate Guide
A lot of people are very curious about how I shave my head and how much time it takes so I thought I’ll write a quick guide for you.
I like to add TLDRs because who wants to read the whole damn post right?
- Pre-Shave Preparation: Wash your head and put a nice pre-shave oil on it. We recommend Halo Care’s Grease Nourishing Oil. Let it rest for 10 mins. Wash it off with water or soap depending on your preference.
- The Shave: Dab in 2 pea sizes of shaving cream. We recommend Halo Care’s Glide Gentle Shaving Cream. Use a sharp good blade and shave it off. We use a Gillette Fusion or a BSC Sensi Flo6. Take your time and once done rinse off the cream.
- The Wash: Wash your head with a gentle, low pH, good for your head scalp wash. We strongly recommend Halo Care’s Splash!

Step 1: Grease It

We normally let it stay for 10 to 15 minutes and then wash off with only warm water to prepare the head for an amazing shave. Feel free to use a scalp wash at this stage if you think your head is too oily.

Now, let's get to the main event! Wet your scalp and apply 2 fingers of Halo Care’s Glide. Step 3: Splash It

Next, it's time to refresh and cleanse your scalp and give it the love it deserves. Massage in 3 pumps of Halo Care’s Splash on your wet scalp and face. Step 4: Glaze It

Pro Tips for the Best Shave:
- Use a Sharp Razor: Always use a sharp razor to avoid irritation and achieve a close shave. For us on razor is good for 12 to 15 shaves.
- Wash your scalp with warm water: The warmth softens your hair and opens up your pores, making it easier to shave.
- Use Splash before water if you have nicks: If you think that you have nicked your head, put on Splash scalp and face wash before you wash off the shaving cream with water. Splash is so gentle and sensitive that it will protect you from the burn that you would have felt otherwise.
- Moisturize: Always always moisturize and sun protect your scalp after shaving to keep it hydrated and healthy.
